A broken Forza Horizon 6 Festival Playlist Daily Challenge is preventing players from earning completion credit even after correctly earning a star in a Horizon Story. The issue affects the final Daily Challenge from Horizon Mascot Party Winter Season and remains unresolved as Spring begins. This week’s News Brief also covers the Spring reward cars, the final Series 4 Car Pass addition and the imminent arrival of Drift Attack.

Winter Horizon Story Daily Challenge Is Not Registering

The final Daily Challenge from the Horizon Mascot Party Winter season asks players to earn at least one star from any Horizon Story.

For a number of players, however, completing a Story chapter and earning the required star does not register the challenge as complete. Players have reported trying several different Horizon Stories, replaying chapters and deliberately earning different star totals without successfully triggering the Playlist completion.

The issue has been reported through the official Forza Feedback Portal as FH6BR-16946: “Last Winter Season Daily Challenge (1 star at Horizon Story) not collectable.”

As of the morning of September 4, there is no published Forza Horizon 6 release note confirming that the problem has been fixed, and players continue to report that the challenge is failing to register.

For now, players should be aware that repeatedly completing Horizon Stories may not resolve the issue. The challenge appears to require a game-side correction rather than a different Story or completion technique.

How the Daily Challenge Is Intended to Be Completed

Forza Factory has published a video guide demonstrating the intended method for completing the challenge by earning a star from a Horizon Story.

Important: while the bug remains unresolved, following the correct steps shown in the guide may still fail to register the Playlist challenge. Once Playground Games resolves the problem, the same guide can be used to complete it normally.

Horizon Mascot Party Spring Is Live

While attention has understandably focused on the broken Daily Challenge, Horizon Mascot Party Spring began on September 3 and runs through September 10, 2026.

The 1988 Mitsubishi Starion ESI-R is available for earning 20 Festival Playlist points. The rear-wheel-drive Japanese performance coupe uses a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine producing 188 horsepower and arrives with a C 446 stock rating.

The 1968 Dodge Dart HEMI Super Stock is the 40-point Spring reward. Built around the classic formula of a relatively compact body and a huge engine, its 7.0-litre V8 produces 425 horsepower and 490 lb-ft of torque.

The Series rewards remain the 1970 Honda N600 at 80 points and the 1967 Renault 8 Gordini at 160 points. Horizon Mascot Party concludes on September 10.

1983 Nissan Skyline 2000 Turbo RS Joins Car Pass

The 1983 Nissan Skyline 2000 Turbo RS became available through Forza Horizon 6 Car Pass on September 3.

The R30-generation Skyline uses a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 187 horsepower and 166 lb-ft of torque. It sends its power to the rear wheels and arrives with a C 413 stock rating.

The Skyline completes the four-car Car Pass lineup for Horizon Mascot Party.

Drift Attack Launches September 7

The wait for Drift Attack is almost over. Playground Games’ new Shared World drifting experience launches on September 7.

Drift Attack transforms Shimanoyama Circuit into a permanent competitive drifting venue that players can enter directly from the open world.

The mode combines traditional drift scoring with new Clipping Zones, which provide scoring bonuses when players position their cars correctly through designated sections of the circuit.

There is no fixed lap limit, while in-world and Convoy leaderboards will allow players to compare scores and see the drivetrain used for each leaderboard entry.

Drift Attack also becomes part of Horizon Festival progression. Players will be able to unlock a customized 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition, while the standard XJ-S will be added to the Autoshow.

No Fix Yet for the Horizon Story Daily Challenge

At publication time, Forza Support has not published a release note or hotfix resolving the Horizon Story Daily Challenge issue.

The most recent listed FH6 release remains Series 4 Hotfix 1 from August 24.

The dedicated Forza Feedback report for the Daily Challenge is therefore the key issue to watch. Players with access to the Feedback Portal can follow FH6BR-16946 for status changes and updates.

August 24 Hotfix Remains the Latest FH6 Patch

The August 24 Series 4 Hotfix remains the latest published Forza Horizon 6 update.

Version 3.430.771.0 on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC, and 1.430.771.0 on Steam, fixed the Series 4 problem that caused some players to lose Road Discovery progress.

The update also fixed a Creative Hub exploit that allowed downloaded Vinyls to be edited by other players.

British Automotive Begins September 10

Horizon Mascot Party concludes next Thursday, September 10, when Forza Horizon 6 moves into its next Series: British Automotive.

Playground Games has confirmed a full British Automotive dealership takeover featuring deals on rare and iconic British cars.

The Festival Playlist will introduce three British new-to-Horizon cars, while Car Pass subscribers can expect four additional new-to-Horizon cars.

More details about the complete British Automotive lineup are expected as the update approaches.
