Forza Horizon 6 Horizon Mascot Party has entered Winter, bringing two classic Toyota Festival Playlist rewards and the 1968 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33/2 to Car Pass. This week also delivered a Series 4 hotfix addressing lost Road Discovery progress and our first detailed look at Drift Attack, a major new Shared World feature arriving in September.

Horizon Mascot Party Winter Festival Playlist

The Winter season runs from August 27 through September 3, 2026.

The 1974 Toyota Celica GT is available for earning 20 Festival Playlist points. Powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 97 horsepower, this early Celica represents Toyota’s compact sporting answer to the pony cars that dominated the American market during the period.

The 1989 Toyota MR2 SC is the 40-point Winter reward. Its mid-engined layout and supercharged four-cylinder engine give the lightweight MR2 a very different character from the Celica and make it an appealing platform for a classic Japanese road build.

Winter Challenges

The seasonal Edamame Time Attack challenge asks players to beat 44.000 seconds in a C-Class car from the 1970s.

Winter also includes an Ohtani Region Treasure Hunt, while the #CultClassic Photo Challenge requires a photograph of any Cult Car at the Edamame Circuit and rewards the Pinball Machine Car Horn.

The Series rewards remain the 1970 Honda N600 at 80 points and the 1967 Renault 8 Gordini at 160 points. Horizon Mascot Party concludes on September 10.

1968 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33/2 Joins Car Pass

The 1968 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33/2 became available through Forza Horizon 6 Car Pass on August 27.

The legendary endurance racer uses a 2.0-litre V8 producing 269 horsepower and sends its power to the rear wheels. It arrives with an A 696 stock rating and brings one of Alfa Romeo’s celebrated competition cars to Horizon Japan.

The final Horizon Mascot Party Car Pass addition will be the 1983 Nissan Skyline 2000 Turbo RS, arriving on September 3.

Gameplay Improvements

Drift Attack Arrives September 7

Playground Games used gamescom to reveal Drift Attack, a major new Shared World feature coming to Forza Horizon 6 on September 7.

Drift Attack combines the accessibility of Drift Zones with the competitive structure of Horizon Drift. The Shimanoyama Circuit is being transformed into a permanent Drift Attack venue that can be entered directly from the open world simply by driving through its gantry, with no separate loading screen.

Players earn points using familiar drift-scoring mechanics, but new Clipping Zones placed around the circuit provide scoring boosts when drifts are performed inside their boundaries. There is no limit to the number of laps that can be completed.

Drift Attack will also feature in-world and Convoy leaderboards, including drivetrain information for leaderboard entries.

Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition Reward

Drift Attack is also being integrated into the Horizon Festival campaign. Players will be able to unlock a fully customized 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition designed for drifting, while a stock version of the Jaguar XJ-S will also be added to the Autoshow.

The feature unlocks after earning the Yellow Wristband. Playground Games also plans to introduce temporary Evolving World Drift Attack locations in future Series.

Hotfixes

Series 4 Hotfix Fixes Lost Road Discovery Progress

Forza Support released Series 4 Hotfix 1 on August 24.

The current version numbers are 3.430.771.0 on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC through the Xbox app, and 1.430.771.0 on Steam.

The headline fix addresses an issue introduced with Series 4 that caused some players to lose Road Discovery progress. Playground Games notes that applying the correction may result in some players ending up with slightly more discovery progress than they had before the Series 4 update.

This resolves the road-discovery problem that had been appearing in community reports following the launch of Horizon Mascot Party.

Creative Hub Vinyl Fix

The hotfix also corrects a Creative Hub issue that allowed downloaded Vinyls to be edited by other players.

Known Issues Remain Under Investigation

Forza Support now directs players to the Forza Feedback Hub for the most current list and status of active Forza Horizon 6 issues.

Lost saves remain listed as an ongoing investigation. Other officially documented issues include intermittent Fast Travel problems with Player Houses, long loading times after extended sessions and selected PC startup, lighting and audio issues.

British Automotive Gets More Interesting

Playground Games has revealed more information about September’s British Automotive update, which begins its Festival Playlist Series on September 10.

A full British Automotive dealership takeover will offer deals on rare and iconic British cars. More importantly, the Festival Playlist will feature three British new-to-Horizon cars, while Car Pass owners will receive four additional new-to-Horizon cars.

The full vehicle lineup has not yet been revealed.

7-Eleven Collaboration Coming in October

Forza also announced a collaboration with 7-Eleven for the October Series update.

The collaboration will include a themed Evolving World and EventLab Content Pack. Playground Games says the project was inspired by suggestions submitted through the Forza Feedback Portal, with further details to follow closer to release.

A new Forza franchise sale began on August 25, with 15% off Forza Horizon 6 editions on Xbox and Steam for a limited time.
